For dental labs, sintering determines the final accuracy of restorations.
If the block shrinks unevenly or reacts too sensitively to temperature, the crown or bridge may not fit properly.
Technicians need materials they can trust — once sintered, the result must match the design.
At HONCHON, we pay great attention to the stability and predictability of every zirconia block before it leaves our factory.
The foundation of stable sintering starts with raw materials.
HONCHON uses high-purity zirconia powders from Japan TOSOH and China’s National Ceramic Materials Co. (Guoci) — both well-known for consistent particle size and purity.
Each batch is processed by Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP) to ensure uniform density in every direction.
This step helps avoid internal stress and uneven shrinkage during sintering.
Before delivery, each zirconia block undergoes precise pre-sintering under controlled temperature and atmosphere.
We record and calculate the linear shrinkage rate of every batch (usually around 20–25%, depending on the type).
To ensure predictability, we:
Test the actual shrinkage on standard samples from each batch
Compare it with the CAD/CAM design data
Keep detailed batch records for traceability
This guarantees that technicians can rely on consistent results every time — no unexpected size deviation after sintering.
Each production run is verified through thermal sensitivity testing.
Blocks are sintered under different temperature profiles to confirm that minor temperature differences (±5–10°C) do not cause visible warping or cracks.
This step ensures that the blocks are suitable for various furnaces and sintering programs used in dental labs.
Before leaving the factory, HONCHON performs in-house trial sintering — we call it the “one-burn test”.
Our technicians simulate real lab conditions using standard CAD/CAM crowns and bridges.
Only when the result achieves stable fit and translucency do we approve the batch for shipment.
Every HONCHON zirconia block carries a batch number.
This allows customers to trace back the exact production line, powder source, and sintering data.
We maintain ISO 13485, and FDA certifications to ensure every process meets medical standards.
HONCHON zirconia blocks are designed for peace of mind — stable, predictable, and easy to use.
Technicians can confidently “mill and sinter once” knowing the size, strength, and color will all match the design.
